Celebrating 70 years in practice and 30 in Bristol, Purcell Architecture Ltd is one of the World’s leading firms of Architects, Master Planners and Heritage Consultants.

To mark this milestone, team members from Oxford, Cardiff and Bristol look forward to hosting this event to launch our recently published Architectural Review monograph.

This collection of specially commissioned articles features a broad range of projects that address common challenges that impact on architecture and heritage in the 21st century. Globally these relate to places as diverse as Scott and Shackleton’s Antarctic huts, Hong Kong’s Central Police Station and countless Commonwealth War Graves sites. While closer to home we are privileged to be working on internationally renowned icons like Concorde, St Mary Redcliffe Church and Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Purcell’s Post-War founders were trailblazers, sharing their zeitgeist with organisations like the UN and Britain’s NHS, in their mission to define conservation policy and practice as agents of responsible change. Today, with new expertise in contemporary design, creative re-use and heritage consultancy across all sectors, this spirit drives our mission to bring continuity to the lives of the people and places we serve.
